The
Chairman of the occasion, special guest of honour, Mrs. Sarah Jubril, Special
Assistant to the President on Ethics and Value, The Hon. Commissioner for Women
Affairs, Anambra State Lady Harietta Agbata, My Parents, the Management and
staff of Glees Concepts Limited, All members of the high table, distinguished
ladies and gentle men.
I
am most grateful to God Almighty from whose mercy, guidance and wisdom this
occasion beams the light of this success.
A
dream of a lifetime can only be actualised when God’s approval commands the
needed human strength to march the demands of life’s struggle to meet with
available physical opportunities.
This
actualisation becomes even more possible particularly when that dream is geared
towards a selfless service to humanity.

At
this point, I must submit my profound openness of mind and sincerity that the
whole essence of this foundation is to serve humanity, more especially the
motherless and fatherless children in our state in particular and Nigeria in
general. Yes the Jasmine Foundation is conceived and born to give love to those
children who lack the dear love and care of parents. Not only that this
foundation shall provide love, it will also offer them the opportunity to
receive the greatest gift a parent can give to a beloved child - education.
As
we all know, sound and qualitative education to a child is the
assurance
of a better tomorrow both for the child and the entire society. A society that
cannot guarantee the education of their children has simply built an
unavoidable perpetual conflict for their future.

Conscious
of these realities, the Jasmine Foundation shall work relentlessly to ensure
that a better and prosperous future is assured for these orphans through the
sourcing of a sound and sustainable educational provision and adequate health
care. Besides the above, it is also important at this juncture that I remind
everybody present that I am the MOST BEAUTIFUL STUDENT IN NIGERIA: - MBSN
Democracy. This particular prestigious crown gave me the responsibility to seek
and maintain peace in all Nigerian Campuses as the Campus Peace Ambassador. By
that commitment, this foundation is tasked to originate and organise seminars
and Symposiums that can engender peace and unity among students in our tertiary
institutions across the federation at periodic intervals.

Distinguished ladies
and gentlemen, let me confess that these tasks before me as the owner of the
foundation cannot be successfully tackled if your support is not added to my
determination and willingness to offer all these services to humanity. The
dream of my life will not be actualized if I cannot count on your patriotic and
selfless support and sponsorship. As we all know, no man is an Island. In all
human history, no man has realized an aspiration without the meaningful
contributions of his compatriots. Remember that the greatness of America today
is founded on the solid rock of Americans’ support to a patriot’s mission, no
matter how small.
My
beloved people of Nigeria I want to ask of your support and sponsorship to this
noble humanitarian project of mine. By
supporting
this, you will be investing in the future life if so many children and at the
same time ensuring a hopeful and blissful future for generations yet unknown.
By
supporting the Jasmine Foundation, you will be contributing to a project that
will establish that biblical peace that passeth all understanding. You will
also be supporting a crusade that will enhance decent electoral exercises in
Nigeria because it is the desire of this foundation to use responsible Nigerian
students to send messages that will prompt Nigerians to respect and adhere
strictly to electoral rules and regulations.
Beloved
Anambrarians and fellow Nigerians, the future of Nigeria is bright if we can
all seek peace and love for one another at all times.
I
promise that this foundation shall partner with other relevant Ngos’ to ensure
that our objectives are met.
While
giving my indivisible thanks to God Almighty for this length so far, I am
particularly grateful to my mother, Mrs. Edith Mbonu, the Governor of Anambra
State — Mr Peter Obi, the Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Harientta
Agbata and the SA to Deputy Senate President, Mr. Mike EKweremmadu. Prof Dora
Akunyili is specially thanked for her presence here and for the unforgettable
contributions she has made for humanity.
